BP and CONACYT sponsored PhD student Daniel de la Rosa was awarded the Institute of Physics Best Poster Presentation at the 2011 Combustion Physics Group ?Early Career Researchers? Meeting at Loughborough University.? Daniel?s paper entitled ?Laminar Burning Characteristics of Methane/Water-Vapour/air Flames? shows new data on the burning rate for methane/water/air systems and the viability of a potential new method for quantifying flame extinction.
